CAMPMTOKS 7 fjlxfeiiiflei l SPEC Every year the Southern Piedmont Educational Consortium sponsors honor programs with different major studies and an overall emphasis on leadership. Three ofNC's college campuses lend their school, time, and staff to these worthwhile programs. Catawba has adopted the School of Math and Science title. Biology is taught using various field trips and projects aside from routine class work. Math focuses upon computers. This involved program gives the student a broad overview of programming and functions of computers. On the Wingate College campus the interest is history. Classes scheduled are economics, socialogy, psychology, and world history. This curriculum offers student exposure to world leaders, government actions, and a better understanding of the political scene world wide. School of Creative Arts is Pfeiffer College. Majors are offered in creative writing, dramatic art, choral music, and a band ensemble. Other classes offered are geared towards creativity.
