STANCIL BAUCOM President KATE MOOSE Vice President BRENDA KLUTTZ Secretary HOWARD SANFORD Treasurer Student Council The Mount Pleasant High School Student Council is the fresh- man organization being in its first year. Even though young, we feel that some good has been accomplished. One of our first acti- vities was the sponsorship of Teacher Appreciation Week. Polished apples and notes of appreciation were presented to each teacher. One day during the week the teachers were given a coffee break. Christmas was appropriately celebrated with several assemblies devoted to the singing of carols, old and new. At the last assembly our janitors and maids were remembered with large cartons and bags of groceries. Yes, the Student Council may be young and inexperienced, but it is active. Mt. Pleasant High School can be proud of their football team this year. They finished with a 7-3 record, rolled up a good many points and all year played consistantly good football. Well supported by fans, students and band, the Tigers played football as a team, working as one unit. This type of play brought us success and the championship.
