3 3083 00562 2417 Father Time is writing ‘finis ' tor the editors of the TIGER ROAR of 1955, and, in these fleeting moments, the annual staff covets the privilege of submitting this brief preface to the eighth yearly publication of Mount Pleasant High School. It is our desire to make this volume of the TIGER ROAR a record of the trials and triumphs of high school life rather than a memorial to Literature and Art. We trust that as you turn each page a train of pleasant memories will echo through your mind, recalling to you those unforgettable years at Mount Pleasant High. The annual staff also sincerely hopes that the innovations which we have seen fit to inaugurate in this issue will meet with your approval and that its read- ers may derive the same degree of pleasure that we have experienced in compiling it. When the shadows begin to fall and the candle of life burns low, by taking this volume from its shelf, you will remember your high school days. If, from this remembrance, you are refreshed and pleased, we, the editors, will know our labors have not been in vain.
