Cla44 Poem. As the year ' 55 comes to its end We, Seniors, say good-bye to our many friends; We wish them luck through out the years. And wish them success in their careers. To our many teachers whom we hate to leave. And some to whom we will always cleave We say good-bye. From the dear old school with its meaning true. We leave with memories, old and new; It has been the scene of our start in life, And has taught us to search for truth and right. We will always hold its banner high. But now we salute as we pass by To say good-bye. We leave our hope, our luck, our tears. To those who follow in the coming years; To their success, as well as ours. We leave Mount Pleasant for future powers. One plea we make, through the years we thrive, Remember your classmates of ’55. And now good-bye. Kay Frances Stallings BcUeol Bo4iXf Oh, when Mount Pleasant High School falls in line We’re going to beat our rivals everytime. We’re going to sing and shout and make some noise Because our high school’s filled with loyal girls and boys. So, come on rah, rah, rah, Mount Pleasant High, We’re going to pledge ourselves to do or die. We’re going to sing our praises to the sky--by and by Mount Pleasant is the school for me.
