From cox er to cox er in this book you can see how your school life has been greatly affected by the administration, the activities, and the athletics With the lack of cooperation of all these, your life in school would more or less be incomplete Students find it essential from time to time to en- counter xarious problems inxolxing their school ln order to find a solution to these matters, it is necessary to understand the problems that come up in our school days, For instance, Dr. Mullin, our principal, in cooperation with student representa- tives, plans diyerse assemblies, social and athletic exents, 'l'hen too, the faculty members and students solye on a cooperatixe basis between students and teachers the different problems that arise in class- rooms and extra-curricular actixities inxolxing all students. From the administration, let us go to the student activities As an example, willing and endeaxoring majorettes are a great help to the band which is one ol' the best in the county To promote leadership, and to stimulate association among students, various clubs hax e been organized However, the school curriculum would not be coni- plete without the athletic department Football, which is the major interest, basketball, and baseball are representatile of the sports played at Hurst These sports bring the adxantages of wholesome rivalry to the athlete and spectator, The competitor not only dexelops physical strength but also culti- xates the xirtues of sportsmanship, tolerance, co- operation, sincerity, and faithfulness You can see how the administration, the activities, and the athletics must work together to form your ideal school life
