What a noise! Oh! yes, now I know what it is. Miss Graham is teaching typing to the sophomores while Mr. Batiste teaches sec- retarial practice and shorthand. He also helps with typing. Mr. Nock is our mathematics teacher and is liked by all. Then come Mr. Greiner and Miss Beacom, who teach freshman history, while Miss Fisher teaches junior history. Though the sophomores can't understand the value of ancient history at present, they work dili- gently with Mr. Porch. The seniors really enjoy their P.O.D. classes with Miss Barnhart for they learn what they have forgotten in history in previous years. We may hear readings, debates, and declamations being coached by Mr. Silvis, but he also helps the seniors with salesmanship and economics. Many graduates of Hurst become salesladies and salesmen.
