He came to Hurst the following September as a teacher of mathematics and became high school principal in 1915. The following year he went to iwlclieesport to teach mathematics in the high school there. He then went into the army during the World War and was made Second Lieutenant in the Light Artillery. After the war, Mr. Rumbaugh returned to Hurst as Superintendent. He has been president of the Westmoreland County Schoo1men's Association. also president of the Westmore- land District Superintendents' Group. One of iwlr, Rum- loaughs prized possessions is a life membership in the National Education Association, presented to him by the lvlt. Pleasant Township teachers. 12
