In the rather grim and dangerous period ahead, your country is going to find it necessary to rely more and more upon the strength of its youth. You will probably find that from this point on, life will become a little more sharp in ,focus and a little more serious in meaning. You will find yourself more and more on your own, where you will have to bear the consequences of your own deci- sions. Fortunately, you are fine repre- sentatives of American Youth. Your ideals are lofty, your initiative is strong, and your resourcefulness is unlimited. May God give you courage to change the things that can and need to be changedp the serenity to accept the things that cannot be changed, and the wisdom to know the difference. God Speed and Good Luck, IOHN F. HEINEY, Superintendent Congratulations on your fine achieve- ment and best wishes to each of you in your future endeavors. I know there have been times when the going has seemed a bit rough, times when discouragement threatened to blot out the happiness and content- ment that we as human beings seek in striving for success. However, the in- centive to keep going should always be a realization of the fact that behind each cloud, the sun still shines. Your graduation here not only marks the end of a task well done, it heralds the beginning of a greater challenge. In a world torn by infringement, intol- erance, and wars, do not cringe from the necessity of meeting issues boldly with principle, resolution, and strength and above all, keep faith in the Divine Master of the universe.
