Twenty-seven years of service as librarian and English teacher in this school came to a close this spring with the retirement of Miss Sadie Juliet Woodruff. In her years before coming to M.P.H.S. she attended the University of Michigan where she received her A.B., B.S., and M.A. degrees. She spent one summer at Columbia and one at North- western. While at Michigan Normal she got her Life Certificate. Her teaching career started in a rural school near her home town of Kendallville, Indiana. From the year 1928 with its 62 graduates till 1955 with 141, she has seen many students graduate. Miss Woodruff plans to go back to Kendall- ville to spend the rest of her life with her par- ents. The student body, faculty, and people will never forget the help she has given to them in her 26 years here. 31
