Pleasant-Atlanta matchup proved to be a good hard hitting game. After taking the opening kickoff, Atlanta marched 70 yards down the field for a score. But the Tigs were not to be outdone as they came back to tie up the game. During the second half Mt. Pleasant really exploded as they got touchdown after touchdown bringing the final tally to 42-19. Pleasant the Clarksville Tigers came to town. Since the field was wet, the Blue Tigers thought it might even things up a bit. lt did for awhile as Blue scored a TD and went ahead 8-6. That was the last time Clarksville touched the end zone as the wet and cold Going Gold Tigers went on to win 34-8.

Pleasant and Dainger- field. As chants from both teams filled the air, the game got underway. The first half was a grueling, hard hitting game and at the half the scoreboard read 14-l2. During the second half, the Gold Tiger defense proved to be a brick wall which the Blue Tigs could find no way through. The M.P. Explosive Offen- sive Machine shelled Daingerfield for 21 points bringing the game to an end with a score of 35 for the Gold Tigers and 12 for the Blue Tigs. In district play the Mt. Pleasant Defense allowed 7 points per game as the Tiger Offense averaged 26 points. 201
