Pleasant Tiger Band was organized in 1936 with fifteen mem- bers. When Neil McKay, the present director, took charge in 1938 the membership was only twenty. Since that time the band has been steadily growing. There are now over sixty uniformed musicians in the organi- zation. The Tiger Band rates as one of the finest organizations of its size to be found anywhere, and it has the highest praise of all Mt. Pleasant.
