WW Fear and hope are the twins of old that keep marking the times. Fear can lead only to disaster of the human race, while hope can lead to its greatest fulfillment. The outcome of the present scientific conflict depends upon which makes the heavier mark, hope or fear. The answer, of course, is found in man's relationship to one another. There can be no nationalism, no sectarianism and no racialism. The intent must be toward mutual respect and human brotherhood. Only in you, the youth of America, the youth of the world, can the answer be fulfilled. Mr. Glenn Hastings Millikin University, Washington University Superintendent It is obvious all through life that the courage and tenacity of people faced with steep hills of one sort or another comes from the fact that they are on the way to some goal they are persuaded is worth reaching. If you don't know where you are going and are just on your way, there isn't much point in straining yourself on the road. On the other hand, if you are on your way to a destination you believe is important and worthwhile, you will tackle the steep hills with a stout heart. Mr. Harold Voyles Shurtleff College, University of Illinois Social Problems, Coach, Physical Education, Principal gaafwlafi ' Miss Evelyn Ozanic
