PRESIDENT 'S MESSAGE The obtaining of an education is undoubtedly the wisest investment a young man or young woman can make, No other expenditure of time or money will bring the dividends that a good education will bring. A well-rounded college education brings intellectual, spiritual, social, cultural, and financial dividends. A college education not only helps one to earn a living, but it also better prepares a person to live. Man shall not live by bread alone is as true today as it was three thousand years ago when these words were first spoken. The Christian faith is not a set of rules neatly wrapped up in a dogmatic package, but rather true Christianity is born in Gethsemane where the soul is confronted with the facts of life and death. Christian education enables a person to see the complex problems of life in true perspective and thereby make his commitment to that which is eternal, Our Church and Nation needs intelligent and dedicated men and women. It is primarily to our Christian colleges that we must look for such people. Our best preparation for tomorrow is the educa- tion of our youth today. W. Burkette Raper
