With just pride we look up to their twofold significance: Blue symbolizes loyalty to all that is good and true--Gold signifies wealth, not only material, but principally the wealth that lasts while all other riches perish-wealth of virtue and knowledge which constitutes a real treasury for life. Like a magic watchword throughout school life, SEMPER, FIDELIS summarizes the prominent feature of a Mount Nazareth student-ALWAYS FAITHFUL. This motto is a beacon that casts its light upon the lofty ideals which should ever remain alive through the years to come in faithfulness to GOD, to our COUNTRY, and to our SCHOOL. 'Love's symbol true thou art, Rose of the Sacred Heart. Glass paffzon For its queenly beauty and singular sweetness, the rose was chosen by the Cla.ss of '42 for the representative class flower. Upon our thoughts, words, and actions we desire the beauty of the rose to be impressed, and its sweetness to accompany all our dealings with mankind. Within the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we, Seniors of '42, placed all our progress and work, every success and failure, each moment of recreation and study. Within the Sacred Heart we found all treasures of wisdom and knowledge-He was our MODEL and EXAMPLE. The most difficult attempts became simple when entrusted to HIM: the most baffling questions were solved through His inspiration.
