Morris High School, County of Genesee, State of Michigan, on this fifth day of june, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and forty-six, being of sound mind and memory do hereby make public and declare ihis our last will and testament in the way and manner herein set forth, which is as follows: First: The members of the Senior Class of '46 do hereby bestow upon the Class of '47 our unlimited knowledge, superior abilities, studious habits, excellent marks, becom- ing dignity, financial success, and a sincere respect for all members of the faculty as well as our handsome and intellectual appearance. Second: We, the members of the Senior Class of 1946, desire to leive our personal belongings to the following underclassmen: I, Maxine Adams, will my A's in American History to LaVerne Hursh. I, Shirley Banks, will my quiet nature to jack Zerull. I, Beulah Barden, will my speed in shorthand to Marion Faferko. I, Bertha Bellinger, will my library position to Zelpha Hilliker. I, Bill Berry, will my manly physique to Don Norlock. I, james Borton, will my singing ability to Earl Bovine, I, Jeanne Brewer, will my loafers to Harriet Saxton. I, Shirley Card, will my desire to go to college to all ambitious people. I, Louise Carroll, will my position as basketball captain to Evelyn Boes. I, Dick Carver, will my flashy shoestrings to Mr. Bowen. I, Effie Christenson, will my ability to be a good wife to Elizabeth Bloomer. I, Mary Clampitt, will my desire to be an old maid to anyone who would like it. I, Dale Coenen, will my position in school activities to Beverly Richards. I, Ross Cole, will my position in the Dixie Drug to Bruce Maxwell. I, Dale Conquest, will my circumference to johnny Beach. I, Aubrey Cooper, will my red plaid shirt to Doris Pifer. I, jo Crocker, will my love of the redheads to Walt Martin. I, Marguerite Daly, will my neat hair dress to Pat Peck. I, Harriet Dodge, will my way with the boys to whoever needs it. I, 'lim Draper. will my ability to love 'em and leave 'em to Duane Quick. I, Dorothy Drew, will my gift of gab to the juniors. I, Russ Durham, will my ability as bus driver to Mr. Cook. They are Nadine Glidden, jack Keith, Mary Clampitt, Shirley Card, Dale Conquest, Dick Carver, Harold Wininger, Don jefferson, Edna Richter, jean Woodbeck, Bernice Wright, Louise Carroll. Earlene Gell, Bertha Bellinger, Margarite Daly, Rosemary Sheldon, Maxine Yates, Mar- garet Hurry, jean Grenier, Marcellie Simmons, Dorothy Drew, Georgianna Edwards, julia Breczko, Harriet Dodge, Myrna Gough, Pauline Graves, Marion Van Norman, june White, Thelma Howe, Florence Russell, Norma Potts, Mildred Unger, Shirley Banks, jeanne Brewer, Idella jones, Beulah Barden, Mary Lane, Onalee Severn, jim Draper, Don jefferson, Fred Greanya, Ralph Sheldon, Ed Simmonds, jack Keith, lim Borton, Dale Conquest, joe Podoley, Ardis Munger, jake LaFurgey, and Ruth Vander- pyle. We have been represented very well in speech and debate, and those who .ire active in speech are Mary Lane, Edna Richter, Pauline Graves, Frances Potter, Maxine Yates, and jeanne Brewer. This year Onalee Severn and Dale Coenen are Valedictorians and Rosemary Sheldon, Myrna Gough, and Georgianna Edwards are Salutatorians. The following members were also honor students: jo Crocker, Bernice Wright, Sylvester jones, Frances Potter, Bertha Bellinger, Mary Anna Belle Clampitt, Thelma Howe, jeanne Brewer, Maxine Adams, and Ross Cole. This year under the leadership of Miss Clark and Miss Tew there was organized .i Thespians Troupe. This troupe is composed of members of the various classes who are outstanding in dramatics. In this troupe there are four seniors, Dale Coenen, Maxine Yates, jake La Furgey, and Margarite Daly. Also in our school career we put on Ll prom for the Seniors of '45. This year, our last year, we had a Senior banquet and sport banquet. The following members were on the annual staff: Dale Coenen and Ross Cole, co-editors in chief, Rosemary Sheldon, jo Crocker, Myrna Gough, and Maxine Yates, associate editors. Idella jones, Georgianna Edwards, Bernice Wright, julia Breczko, Mildred Unger, janet Powers, Onalee Severn, jean Woodbeck, Ardis Munger, Louise Carroll, Harriet Dodge, june Hart, Beulah Barden, Margerite Daly, Margaret Hurry, Bertha Bellinger, Mary Lane, jean Grenier, Richard Carver, Ralph Sheldon, john Thom, jake LaFurgey, Earl Helwig, Otis Tremain, Robert jones, Ernest jones, Welcome Hum- barger, Shirley Card, Mary Clampitt, Frances Potter, jack Keith, joe Podoley, and Earlene Gell. Our Senior Committee this year was composed of the following members: Rose- mary Sheldon, Margarite Daly, Dale Coenen, jo Crocker, jim Draper, jack Keith, Ross Cole, Fred Greanya, Ernie jones, Georgianna Edwards, and Margaret Hurry. We also put out a newspaper called the Chatterbox. Dale Coenen was editor and he had help from Rosemary Sheldon, associate editor, Harriet Dodge, and Margaret Hurry, Cupid's Corner, june Hart, feature editor, Georgianna Edwards, Coming Attractions, Ross Cole, news editor, jo Crocker, joke editor, Maxine Yates, gossip editor, jeanne Brewer, sports editor, and john Thom, editor of boys' sports.
