de Zeal 74 :Wine The beating of the school was heard all year. Throughout the halls, classrooms, and breaks, the rhythm of high school life was happening. Everyone was a part of the beat. In the halls, a symphony of lockers being pounded open and slammed closed were constantly resounding everywhere. Friends congregated together to run to their next class. A few stragglers tried to beat the tardy bell. In the classroom, the bell brought everyone to attention. The rustling of papers indicated people still trying to finish their homework. A squeak of a pen on the boardtannounced more homework being assigned. After more bells and lockers, it was time for lunch. Money jingling in the pocket was one important noise. Without it there would have been no food around to satisfy the stomach. People sat together to find out the latest gossip and to spread some of their own. Thanks to A.S.B. Popular tunes filtered throughout the school for everyone to enjoy. After class time, socializing, and just get- ting from one place to another, there was no time to sit down and relax. Some type of activity was continuously happening. Mount Miguel was alive and kicking. Opening 3
