Around us were the seniors, the walk- ing time bombs of yesteryear. They were physically normal and mentally sane ex- cept for the severe case of fried mind, brain drain, and inverted eyes that had developed stressfully after their last chemistry test fNo wonder Cindy Tolewitzke's experience in Chemistry was her most memorable moment in high schoollj. Poverty was blamed on costly traditions, life decisions, and last minute shopping - the prom, senior sweatshirt, the dreaded SAT, and those threatening college applications. Of course, this ticking class of 1988 blasted explosive colors of sizzling, red- hot savvy all over the school with the leadership of our president, Sally Turla, the vice president, Mike Codina, treasurer Shelly Ruelas, and secretary, Mirasol Espanola, under co-advisors, Mr. Dalrymple and Ms. Edler. The tradi- tional Senior Week was composed of classic days as Nerd Day. An unbelievable Homecoming float, Lan- ding On The Moon, posed to be a danger to the underclasses as it cruised on the track. What does a mature senior do after school? April Spry honestly stated that washing her car after she had spent all her ATM money at the store was her whole afternoon. The Senior Class of 1988 spelled danger and nothing could stop it from trying to be elite. At lunch, Seniors talk away till kingdom come. The European History Class wears spirited pride. Seniors 25
