for the first time in recent history, all three levels of the matador football were in contention for league championships. rebounding from a few slack years, the matadors, though badly mauled by injuries, made this year a success- ful one. jess jenner spirited the offense through most of the season. when jess was injured during the hard fought helix game, john madigan took the reins. momentarily floun- dering, he soon showed the same poise as his predecessor.
