Semor I-hstor Upon receiving our diplomas our thoughts go back to our four years spent in high school We started our freshman year wlth lr Saxton as our advlsor Our flrst taste of high school life was tne freshman initiatlon party glven by the sophomores Six members of the class joined the band After paSSlHg the usual final exams we were now ready for our sophomore year, wlth Mr Saxton as our advlsor we lost slx members of the class and gained one giving us an even twenty Three members of the class received varsity basketball letters members leavlng us with only thirteen Four of our girls went to Hazelhurst to take the commercial course Five of our boys made the basketball team Ve earned money for the Junlor Senior Prom in several different ways Eleven of us entered our senior year belng welcomed by Mr Saxton, our class advlsor We earned money for our Washington trip by selling Christmas cards, putt1ng on a play, and by havlng a Junior Senior Bazaar After all our hard work the most enjoyable part of our year was the Washington trip, the Junior Senlor Prom, and the Alumni Banquet A we received our diplomas we all felt a little sad about leaving, but we will always remember the days 1n Mt Jewett High School as the happiest ones in our lives lO I O ' 1 J .
