Groups trooping up Prospect, to the Downs, to the boat dock . . . laden with assorted lotions, portable radio, pillows, knitting, food and books, of course . . . sprawling drowsy and comfortable in the warm grass . . . and results ranging from a mild sprinkling of freckles to a violent blush . . . And co-operated in the emergency The British War Relief Society collected funds selling emblems and gifts, and giving movie benefits. For them you knitted sweaters, helmets, ami socks. And you bought defense stamps. The Defense Committee worked with Rep. Council planning your part in the national defense pro- gram. trying to direct your efforts in the fields where thc were needed, making you feel that you were doing something to help.
