CLASS OF 1942 CLASS OFFICERS Bill McCormick-President Jack McCarthy-Vice President Anna Bates-Treasurer Shirlee Becker-Secretary SPONSORS Miss Anderson Mr. Walter Mr. Fennell Mrs. Main We, the Senior Class of 1942, hold our High School days as a fond re- membrance: Four years never to be forgotten! As Freshmen, we soon overcame our shyness and proceeded to enter into the school spirit by giving the Shamrock Shamble . This proved successful and gave us greater confidence for our future years. During our Sophomore year, the outstanding events were the Class Party, and the jack Frost Frolic . Our Junior year was truly exciting. Everyone was thrilled at the thought of receiving his class ring. Then came the Football Frolic,', given near the close of football season. The climax of this year was the Junior- Senior Prom, which proved to be a gay and brilliant event in its South Ameri- can setting. Now, we sadly turn to see that our high school days are drawing to an end. Yet, there have been many grand activities this year, such as june Mad , the annual Senior Play, this was both a dramatic and financial successg Our Christmas Danceg and the New York Trip, which was taken in place of the Washington Trip because of the Defense Program. However, now we are looking forward with great anticipation to the final and most thrilling activities of our Senior Year: The Prom, Baccalaureate Servicesg Class Night, and Graduation. With the latter, we shall have to bid adieu to our Alma Mater. Before us lies not only a new life, but a changed world. One full of turmoil that is carrying a heavy burden on its shoulders, a burden which must and will be lifted. For we are at war, a war that we know we must help to win and we can assure you that when we go forth from this institution, we shall do so with hope and courage in our hearts, ready to sacrifice whatever we are asked, in order that we, the Mount Holly Senior Class of 1942 may help to maintain and uphold our rights of freedom under the grand old Stars and Stripes . 8
