Boys’ State Award Eacli year two boys from the Junior Class are chosen to attend Boys ' State. The boys are elected by secret ballot by the faculty. During Boys ' State week at the University of North Carolina, the boys study our city, county, state, and federal governments. To put into practice what they learn, they organize an operating government of their own. The two boys chosen from our school this past year were Randy McConnell and Gordon Williams. Chapel Committee Behind the scenes of our well-planned chapel pro¬ grams is the chapel committee . This committee , working with the chairman of the Ministerial Association, lines up the speakers for our Tuesday chapel programs.
