The 1975-'76 Viking Indoor Track team, coached by Bruce Smith, had an exceptional season. If not exceptional as far as team score is concerned , surely the team's individual performers were. Also with the addition of a girls' team they jumped, threw, and strode their way to a fine season. Matt Hall and Bryan Denson had fine showings in the District V Championship by taking first in the high jump and second in the 2 mile run respectively. Hall went on to grab 5th in the State Championship. Chris iOttoJ Beyer finishes the 600 yd run.

J .V. and Frosh Basketball Show Courage The J.V. Basketball team ended a disappointing season, yet showed a great deal of cour- age with hard work, and effort. Top rebounders were Dave Evans, Ray Goldberg and Bo Feaga. Phil Benvenuto, Brian Vacca, and Dave Evans as top scorers. The Freshman Basketball team finished the season with four wins and eight losses, but played much better than their record indicated. The team was led by Jeff Gonya, although small for a forward, scored the majority of his points inside. Rebounding leader was Ted Ashburn. Varsity and J.V. Baseball's Talent Breaks Loose The Varsity Baseball team finished an extraordi- nary season by winning the county title. This county championship is Hebron's fifth in six years, under the coaching of Dave Johnson. The Vikings began their season by dropping their first six games to tough Bal- timore area teams, which served to prepare them for the county season. But, the big game proved to be the playoff game against Wilde Lake in which the Vikings triumphed by a score of 4-2. The Mount Hebron J. V. Baseball team swung to an 8-2 record to capture the championship once again. All the members of the squad worked extremely hard and each player contributed a great deal to the team. ln non-county competition, the Vikings corn- piled an overall record of twelve wins and five losses. ,f B Q is Ml- W A ,V zz -- ....
