4 J .V. and Frosh Football Show heir Best The Freshman squad placed third in the county with a 4-4 record. The offense sparked the team with a lot of yards gained but had trouble cashing in on the TD's. They also had trouble with loss of players, yet did a good job and should have an even better year on the Junior Varsit . The J.V. football team coac ed by Dave Greenberg and Jim Boeseler had an enormously successful season as they rolled to their sec- ond county championship in the last three years as the result of a 7-1-1 record. The team was led offensively by the mighty mite Joe Tringali who broke numerous school records including most yards rushed for in one season. Outstanding players were Brooke Carter, Danny Sikora, C. I. Hereth, David Brookhart and Andy Sitzman. The entire squad played nearly every game and should be proud of their champi- onship season. -..s.,1..ag.-., -..g...... .Q Gouchie Sands, Craig Southerland, Scott Myers, Pierre Chausse, Bruce Leonard, John Emmett, Reno Myers, Chris Evans, Jason Jordan, Greg Bastress, Brad Shifftler, Mark Hudchins, Chip Baker, Bob Warren, Toy Wiles, Brad Huak, Berry Stole, Eric Hawks, Dave Compton. Volle ball Hits Hebron The volleyball season began in a promising way as the Vikings downed Francis Scott Key, but later matches pitted Hebron against the perenially strong Carroll County team, and an away match with Key. Mt. Hebron kept its unbeaten record intact as they beat Howard twice capturing the Count Champion- ship for the second year in a row. T e District 5 match placed Hebron against a powerful Glen Burnie team and the Vikings did not advance. Coaches Elizabeth Scott and Bruce Smith await next year when there will be a Varsity and Junior Varsity pro- gram. Wow! This is gonna hurt. Jump a little higher, higher . . . mf tl I1 5 rl ,- ,..
