Students Enjoy Trip To French Canada Students who traveled to French Canada are CFront Rowl Rusty Klaiber, Merrily Jackson, Kelly Plogher, Debbie George, fRow 21 Angie Moore, Bronwyn Naysmith, fRow 31 Kristin Fidler, Jodi Rosenberger, Pam Reed, Mark Peters, QBack Rowl Kirby Francis, Damon Osborne, Rhonda Bush, and Randi McQuistion. group takes break from shopping in Sillery Mall in Quebec. While sight-seeing in Quebec, students visit Artists' Alley and talk to the artists and look over the paintings that are for sale. During spring vacation from March 24th to 29th, French Club sponsored a field trip to French Canada. Eighteen students and chaperons traveled from Mount Gilead to Windsor, Ontario, by school bus and from Windsor to Quebec City by VIA-Rail Canada. Montreal was - the first stop on the trip. In Montreal the students enjoyed shopping in the underground malls and a tour of the city which included stops at the Olympic Park, Notre Dame Basilica, and Botanical Gardens. On Wednesday the group traveled to Quebec City where the students continued their sight-seeing, dining, and experiencing French Canadian culture firsthand. A tour of Quebec City included visits to the Cathedral of Saint Anne de Beaupre, the bake ovens, and woodcarver's shop. On Thursday evening because of the excellent food and view of the city, the group ate dinner at the L'Astral Restaurant on the 26th floor of the Loew Hotel. On Friday evening the group left Quebec for the return trip home. What do I do now! , is Kelly Plogher's comment when she is confronted by her lobster dinner. Bronwyn Naysmith, Mark Peters, Randi McQuistion, Debbie George, and Kelly Plogher visit the Botanical Gardens in Montreal.
