Way Mock Trial team members relax at a banquet held in honor all the teams that made it to the state competition. Ohio Mock Trial is a statewide pro- gram which endeavors to teach high school students about the United States' judicial system. This is accom- plished by allowing students to as- sume the roles of attorneys and wit- nesses, and then argue against other teams in an imaginary court case. This year Mt. Gilead defeated its first round opponent, Delaware Hayes, and therefore advanced to the state competition. Mt. Gilead's team trav- eled to Columbus and presented an excellent, case, but lost to its first com- petitor at state level.
