ADMINISTRATION Mt. Everett Gets New Principal After twenty-three years in teacher and principal roles with the local schools and the Southern Berkshire Region- al School District, Mr. Albert J. Trocchi resigned his prin- cipalship last summer 119742 to take a position with the state department of education. Mr. Trocchiis successor, Dr. Edward Bierman, was named by the school committee a few weeks later. After initial observations around the school last fall, Dr. Bier- man began incorporating changes and initiating new ap- proaches. Morning RA. announcement responsibilities were assumed by the student council president, Karen Hyatt, faculty meetings were designed to encourage and orient Hupdatingi' of teaching methods, teacher work- shops were scheduled and released time was provided, and Dr. Bierman assumed the 5-12 curriculum director- ship while Mr. Chamberland, vice-principal, took on the 5-12 discipline task along with other responsibilities.
