CURRICULUM ART ART EXPLOITS STUDENT- DISCOVERED MATERIALS The significance of medium has been explored this year in art classes under Mr. Simanek. Student-dis- covered materials provide great range for student creativity and ingenuity. Gravel, acorns, old tele- phone wire, broken glass, tar and feathers all have potential and limitations as media for art. Also this year the art classes have been dealing with larger-scale paintings than in previous years. Four feet by four panels are being designed and painted by students for display in the districts outly- ing schools, and some students expect to do murals before the end of the school year.
