The outside world found its way into the school's clois- tered hallsg the normally quiet fall found Mount Everett in the throes of its first bomb scare. Fashion made 1969-70 the year of the pants. Mount Everett joined the trend. Both administration and students found it a wel- come change, especially when winter came. This was the year of the course-duration options. Many high school students could take courses for one, two, or three marking periods. Mount Everett started a cooperative pro- gram with Monument Mountain in the area of vocational programs. Preliminary self-evaluation started toward the accredita- tion testing to be done next year. in
