ersh Dear Seniors, To each of you go my most sincere con- gratulations. You are about to assume a more important place in society and the important responsibilities that go with it. One of these is the responsibility to put to good use the knowledge gained in your formal education. The future of your communities and country will be determined by how this knowledge is used. Good luck and best wishes always. Sincerely, Albert J. Trocchi Dear Graduates: Today, the world seems so fraught with difhculties that many people despair. We sometimes forget the wonderful opportunities that exist. It is in the realm of man's relation to man that the most serious prob- lems lie, and the most challenging opportunities may be found. To recognize our problems and opportun- ities and take effective action is heroism in this, an age of rapid change. ' You, the youth of our land, have great opportun- ities to improve the relationships of men, but you must have strength: mentally, physically and morally. Mount Everett, your families, and the community have helped in developing these strengths. The respon- sibility for continued development of them now rests with you as individuals. You will need to continue to study, both individually and in class situations, and to maintain your physical vigor. Most important, you will need to act to improve man's relation to man. May you serve yourselves and your fellow men well. Knowing you gives one cause for optimism for the future. Sincerely, C. J. Newlon Principal

-, 9' 10 Congratulations to you upon successful completion of high school. Your education has been possible through the joint efforts of your parents, other community citizens, and the school staff, as well as through your own diligent endeavors. The attitudes, knowl- edges, habits, etc., acquired through twelve years of school instruction should provide a firm foundation to enable a continued full and useful life. In order to pursue a truly useful life in the rapidly changing world of today, one must continually strive for new knowledge and understanding. As you ap- proach the freedoms and responsibilities of mature adulthood, I hope that you will not merely inquire, What can I get from the world? but that you will also ask, What can I contribute? Sincerely, George H. Daniel Superintendent Lead
