XV e, the class of 1962, chose the Auriga as the theme of our yearbook to stand for the live aims of our school life: scholarship, sportsmanship, service, leader- ship, and character. For four years, we have worked toward these five goals: scholarship through our studies, sportsmanship through athletics, service through our classes, leader- ship through activities, and character through living with one another. DEDICATIO WILLIAM E. MIELKE Guidance Director Harvard, B. A. Boston University, Ed. M. The Class of 1962 is proud to dedicate this book to William E. Mielke, our Guidance Director. He has guided every senior in some Way. He has helped us in student-teacher relationship problems and, most of all, in plan- ning our future. We appreciate the time he has given to us. His office is always open whether we want to discuss an important problem or just drop in to say Hello! Mr. Meilke has been both friend and adviser to us. He has guided us in our five aims: Scholarship, Leadership, Character, Service and Sportsmanship. The Senior Class of 1962 is greatly indebted to him for all he has done. 3
