SENIGR CLASS WILL My friends, I have called you to assemble here as a solemn duty, that you the heirs of my respected client, the class of 1953, may hear her last will and testament. To Jonell Moore, who is in dire need of scholastic aid, we will Sue Penney's vast store of information. To Wanda Harvey, who is well-known as the smartest girl in the Junior class, we leave Lynne 0wen's reputation as a dumb blonde. To Kathleen Strong, the loudmouth of the Junior class, we will Alice Lowery's quiet, sedate manners. To Corine Gaddy, who can't get along with Mr. McClure, we will Betty Bell's ability to stay on good terms with him. To Elaine Johns, who ca't get the hang of basketball, we give Pat Bennett's athletic ability. To Rosalee Sprayberry, we reluctantly bequeath Leetie Hudgin's mantle of dignity. T0 Wyrlelle Akin. that Il0iSY JI1l1i0r. we leave Margaret Glasscock's and Lorene Raine's ability to keep quiet in shorthand. To Dorothy Youngblood, who always gets caught in the hall, we leave Leah Lowery's knack of sliding into class on time. To Pat Sharpe, who just can't get a boyfriend, we leave Sue Farris's and Marilyn Phillip's ability to catch one. To Austin Cates, who never drives fast or recklessly, we leave Mervil Bell's title of Speed Demon. To Billy Baker, who always looks so sleepy, we leave Loyd Hunt's English period in which he takes his daily nap. To C. J. Jackson, better known as Shorty . we leave Charles Lunsford's long, lank physique, To John Wagnon, or the 'Dumb One, we give all of Dalton Jone's straight A report cards. To Mike Boles, ' who never sasses the teachers, we will Don Brinkley's ability to talk back and get away with it. To Benny Gatlin, who, unfortunately, belongs to the Lockland gang, we will Henry Oliver's position in the West Side gang. To Willard Alexander, our most careful driver, we give Dale Tripp's ability to run into people gracefully. To Tracy Williams, who doesn't get along with Mr. Hays, we will James Ritter's and Conrad Barrett's ability to softsoap him. To Lamar Morris, who won't participate in class activities, we leave Edward Campbell's willingness to work. To Bill Sorrell, who attracts all the girls, we leave Larry Shumate's and Malcolm Harvey's ability to evade them. To Mrs. Wood, the Senior class leaves their honesty and intelligence to be passed on to the next class. To Mr. Phillips, who seems to be in need of information on various subjects, we leave all the themes the Senior Class has had to write. Nia 0 5
