BLO HIGH SCHOOL CALIFORNIA jUi' (TR E W O R D Since 1902. Mt. Diablo has been the parent high school of Contra Costa County. Traditions have evolved and been passed on to outbranching schools of the district just as family traditions are passed from father to son, mother to daughter. Victory with Honor early became the first spir- itual commandment of Diablo. It carries with it a broader meaning than one which could be used only on the playing fields. Victory with Honor has come to mean moral, spiritual, intellectual, as well as physi- cal, victory. For these 58 years the alumni have felt the impact of these three words and today's students feel it too. Here in the Diablo '60. we hope to illustrate what we do mean by our motto, and how it influences our lives. We hope we have done it with honor.
