Principal’s Message Diablo'» bond producer, Dr. Ford Dial, it completing hit fifth year at Diablo at principal. P R O D U As graduating seniors it is good to reflect about the opportunities you have had, the teachers who have taught you, and the friends you have made, for graduation will mark a parting of the way for most of you. Some of you will continue your education, others will enter various fields of industry, become homemakers or enter the armed services. The years put into your education have been important in developing the total abilities, habits, attitudes and desires which identify you as a person. What you do in life depends upon what you are and what you want. What you get from life depends upon how much you want it, how much you are willing to work and plan and cooperate and use your resources. Whatever comes to you, good or bad, will generally be the result of your own actions or lack of action. It is hoped that your training at Diablo High will make you want the best and the most of life, and that you are willing to work hard, with tolerance and under- standing, for it. ?■ ZLS Superintendent’s Message S'? Head circuit director of the Mt. Diablo Unified School District it Superintendent James W. Dent. This year marks the end of another era at Mt. Diablo High School. For the last time students from the north side of the school district are graduating from the high school which residents of that area have attended for more than half a century. Through the years many leaders of Diablo activities have come from over the hill and from Port Chicago. Their presence will be missed, but we know that their younger brothers and sisters will carry on at Pacifica High School the high standards which their predecessors helped to develop at Diablo. Diabloans can always be proud that they first established the fine reputation which our district has for scholarships, sportsmanship, and citizenship. James W. Dent Board of Trustees The Board of Trustees keep the district schools running smoothly They are sitting left to right: Mrs. Clark Wiget. Mr. Arnold Bjork.
