Members of the Industrial Arts Department are proud of their first department brochure. It contains twenty-one photographs and numerous articles depicting tho shop program offered at Diablo. The purpose of the brochure is to help counselors and students in the selection of shop courses. Tho courses are designed to train studonts in good citizen- ship. increase their appreciation for American ideals and ways of living by acquainting them wtih a working knowledge of the past. The Drivers' Education Department deals with preparation for the wheels of the present. BOYS' P.E. DEPARTMENT I EFT TO RIGHT: Mr. Art Poulin. Mr. Rod Franz. Mr. Us Williams. Mr. Jim Millard. Mr. John Ralston. The Boys' P.E. Department established wrostling. water polo, and volleyball as new activities for the boys. The plans call for advanced apparatus: trampoline, lifesaving, and tennis classes for all boys, for first year classes. Also contemplated are diving, and a competitive pentathlon event in addition to the swimming and track programs.
