The1r hrgh school days began when they were cruelly rntttated by the senrors of 1955 The sponsor thts year was Mr Banks From therr freshman year they took a mtghty step hoprng they wouldn trtp toward hrgher educatton by becomrng sophomores Durrng thts year they brtghtened the school constderably by recewrng therr royal blue and whtte class sweaters Carolyn Thomas Jorned them this year In therr Junlor year they elected Mrs Shumway as sponsor and started off by orderrng therr class rrngs Durrng basketball season they were prrvtleged to sell at the County Tourney One of the most enyoyable projects of therr JUHIOI year was the presentatron of thetr play FINDERS CREEPERS The year was hrghlrghted by the Jumor semor receptton held at the TOP HAT tn Muncre Durrng thrs year Ltnda Caldwell Mary Lou Colston and Tom Thurston 1orned them Rex Helms returned after havrng transferred rn the srxth grade Wrth two new members Doyle Evans and Terry Borgman the semor class had a total of twenty erght members and agaln elected Mrs Shumway as sponsor Some of theu acttvmes whrch were many rncluded the freshman rnmatron money makrng projects publrshrng school papers presentrng therr semor play PAINT THE TOWN PINK and edrung an annual Agarn durrng basketball season they sold cokes candy and rce cream at the games Durrng the year they looked forward to the tumor semor trrp tn the sprlng and of course graduatton tn May And so twelve years later twenty erght sentors marched trrumphantly through the doors of thrs tnstrtutton of learnrng whtch drd grve them the knowl edge and fortttude to face the world As of May 1958 thls case ts closed G., ELCDSSUI UD mCmLVIlI . . , . ,t On August 30, 1957, they enrolled as seniors at Mt, Comfort High School.
