UI i ' . 0 ' I I dv I ffm V OLIU QCCURDSUU DUO For nearly eight years June Marie Sparks and Laveta May Smith have been playing together and have become one of the most out standing and popular musical ensemble of the community June playing the violin, and Lnveta the accordion, have had prominen places in the Farm Bureau and 1 H Club pro rams, have entertained for banquets, wedding , receptions, and variou other program in side and outside the state of Tndiana Besides being entertainers, they have played in numerous church services They have given un selfnshly of their time and talent for the benefit, pleasure and insp ration of others In recent years they have participated in District and State Solo Contests and there Laveta, playing the oboe and June, the violin, have again won honors by placing in first ivisions. Thus have they not only added to themselves but to the school and com- munity honor and achievement. In 19h1, June participated in the National Music Contest at Flint Michigan and winning first division. Since then the Na. tional Auditions have been discontinued. we congratulate June and Laveta on their splendid work and wish them the best of luck for the future.
