It was seniors had to receive last twelve it had been tions with the land of in the month of May, 19'-I-8. The night before sixteen strolled up the aisle to the tune ofa.graduation march the Usheepskinsn for which they had worked during the years. I was meditating dreamily of what a great class and how much fun we juniors haihad during our associa- them when I dropped off to sleep and found myself in dreams It seemed that I was walking down a long cor ridor of time with doors on each side marked with the number of a certain year, such as l938 on one, the next l,39, etc I decided the one marked 1958 should be interesting so I opened the door In tead of stepping into a room a I had expected, I found myself stepping into a bus with a sign on the front saying that it was going to Indianapolis All I could do was go ahead and get in as I sat down I no ticed a newspaper lying in the seat beside me Picking it up, I f und t to be HThe Indianapolis New I canned the columns hungrily, hoping to see some name I would recognize when suddenly I noticed a short society it m saying HThe cla s or IQM8 of the Mt Comfort High School is holding its annual dinner Ihur day eve ning in the Claypool Hotel This is certain to be a most distin vuished gathering, for the members of this class have made out tanding achievements In their respective fieldsn I was certainly glad to see this news, and since I haveaacurious nature, I decided that while T wa in Indianapolis I would look up all the members of this class I could andfdnd out what their Houtstanding achieve mentsn were Ihe answer for two of these people popped up at me when I turned the page for there in bold print was a large advertisement saying that Jack Fentz and his orchestra, UThe Perky Jerks from Perkin villen, were appearing with the delightful young singing star, rdna Kincaid, at the Circle Theatre next week A I e flected on what a great thing these people had done for themselves, I was inter upted suddenly, the bus was coming to a grinding top Evidently something had fone wrong with the motor After examin ing the motor, the driver told us that it would be awhile before we could go on, so we'd better go to the nearest farmhouse and est hou e, we were soon able to tell that this wasn't a common kind of farm for there were well kept fences, a very b autiful hou e and se mlngly barns and barns Aftfr bfin admitted into the nouse by a neat looking maid, we asked the nam of the owner and were told that it w s William Cain when we finally arrived in Indianapoli , I felt hungry o I stepped into a crowded restaurant by the name oIHBarb' Barbocueu Sure enough it was Barb, with her cheery smile, as manager While we w re talking sh mentioned that Arnella Vhiteside 1 nor n New York and ra con idered one of that city' best beauty ox perts, especially since she had become the hetropolitan Ope11's main hair dresser 0 . X Chester said that I probably wouldn't get to talk to John because he was up testing one of his newest jet planes. Thanking them both, I rushed out to the airportg and what a huge thing it was! Hangar after hangar and hundreds of planes! One verylig hangar was in the process of being built and on the front, on a great big sign it said: Kelly, Kelly, and Kelly, Contractors. There was a great crowd Hohing' and Hahingu at Johnfs daring test stunts. I heard someone say that this was a new type of jet plane' the exhaust came out of the front end! After he landed I w ited for the photographers to get through taking pictuic , then I asked him if he had a pl ne th L would take me ri ht away He s id, N ure, I ll take you myself' On the w he told me ta t Richard Ielly w s the building of his now hang r It was to he the l of its kind in the world He s id th t he had had a lot getting Congress to giv their consent to let him tairu it, out through thc brilliant inrluence of a n tionally famous Sena or Lansinger, he hed gotten his contract Jim, ure enough, h d be como one of the most influential congressm n in the Senate Just as the speedometer of John's pl ne slid over 990 MPH I awoke from my dream with start Even though I might be ccused of being a sleepy head, I w s certainly gl d I h d gotten to look into the future nd see what great horizons l y ahead for the stu dents in this reat class of l91+8 And wh t I saw' to Boston one dowg L h I t ourle f ' ,LJrf27V'f'ff fq IIN F33 f UNQJTRH fw SUFMB f7f t W.
