Q All UJHXZMSLQ Wc, the pre ent Senior Cla of l9Ho, ft proud Unpresent our oart in the History of Mt Comfort High School In the school year of l936 37 we were united as a class by oar first grade teacher Miss Dunlao There were sitteen at the be ginning of the year Five of those sixteen have spent all their school days at Mt Comfort These five are William Cain, Laveta Barnett entered in February of l937 from Bohart, Indiana Miss Dunlap was teacher of sixteen second graders in l937 38 Ch ster Davis from Oaklandon and James Lansinger from Indianapolis Joined thc class at the beginning of the year November 2, T937, John Fentz entered from Indianapolis under the supervision of Miss Heath sixteen started as proud third graders in 1938 39 We had a few entries and withdrawls, but none of the present class members entered in that year Eighteen started in our class in 1939 no as fourth graders Mr Saxton was our teacher Edna Kincaid was among the new ones to enter at the beginning of that year In l9MO Ml our class was divided alphabetically, and part of the nineteen were taught by Mr Saxton and the rest by Mr Stoner Charles Sanford Joined us at the beginning of the year after being ill for quit some time Charlie began at lt Comfort in l935 After a very nice summer vacation twenty one sixth graders enrolled for the school year of l94l M3 Nc w re taught by M1 s Cathy Richard Kelly Joined us at the beginning of the year from Lawerence grade school Thr eventh grade is one that is looled forward to by most students for the simple reason that it is their first year to be in the ass mbly At the beginning of the school year, l9 9 43, t e assembly had twenty three newcomers Our class officers whom we elected for the first time were President, James Lansingerg Vice- President, John Fentzg Secretary, Laveta Smithg and Treasurer, John Stader. Mr. Havens was our sponsor. There were twenty-two in the eighth grade class of 1943-MM. Among the new students to enroll that year was Barbara Stewart in September from Warren Central. Richard Kelly re-entered Febru- ary l5 after a short stay in Georgia. The class officers for that year were President, John Fentzg Vice-President, Bill Cain, Sec- retary, Laveta Smith, and Treasurer, John Stader. Our sponsor for that year was Mr. Clements. .
