This is the purpose of the IVICHS Student Council. Every member has contributed and done his part to help the council accomplish its purpose. The Student Council is made up of your elected officers and one representa- tive from each social studies class and freshman English class. The president, Larry Winstanley, who was elected by the student body, led the group efficiently. He was aided by the other student-elected officers: Vice-president, Bill Weber: sec- retary, julie Ann Brush: and Treasurer, Gary Scar. Meeting every other week, the council has done a great deal during the year. The biggest money making project was the magazine sales which they sponsored. The goal, set at S7000 for this event wasn't quite met but almost everyone did his share. Money from the sales has gone toward the cinemascope screen and adapter, coin machines and bookkeeping machine for the accounting office, and S5500 for the Mirror. Also, this money has purchased a new movie camera for school activities and athletic events. ll. Kirkwood, ,-X. Lawrence, F. Casanova ,l. Scantlirito, QI. DcFrancis, XV. Biggs, Gregory and A. JUNE . . . June was given over almost entirely to seniors. There were two exceptions to this with the National Honor Society assembly and reception on Tuesday, june 3, and the Honors Awards Assembly on Tuesday, June I0 .... Tuesday, the l3th saw the seniors taking Final exams, and Saturday of that week was the junior- senior prom .... With the next week came the end of the road for the class of '58, Sunday, june I5-Baccalaureate, Tuesday. the l7th-Class Night, and Finally on Thursday-Commencement. . . .
