The Ushers Are O11 Hand For Every Show lk. Extra usher, Geary Henry, takes tickets at the door for Joann Stark, usher. USHERS CLUB Another one of the many service clubs at MCHS is the Usher Club. Sponsored by Mr. Wayne Sharland, the club is made up of about 25 l0th, l lth and l2th grade girls. The usher's job is not an easy one. as each girl must know the location of each seat in the high school auditorium. Throughout the year, the usherettes are l-cept very busy seating the audiences for the junior and senior plays, the operetta, various concerts, com- mencement exercises, and other programs held in the school auditorium. For many programs, all the ushers are not needed, so the girls sign up to usher for the various programs. lf a girl finds she can't usher after she has signed up, she is expected to get another girl to substitute for her. The ushers don't have a uniform, but they usually dressup when they are usher- -ing. An usher can be recog- nized by her small grey ribbon with recl lettering.
