Dorothy Hinks The Sewing Club consisted of twenty-four girls interested in sewing and homemaking. The sewing done in the home today centers in darning, remodeling, and making simple garments, so we developed skill in hemming, piping, binding, and stitching. We learned various types of needlework-embroidery, patching, darning-which will be useful to us in later life. For chapel exercises we presented two comedies.
