1937 Lambda SPONSOR: Miss ISOBEL SLOTTERBACH One of the objectives of the Literary Club is to encourage its members to read worthwhile books. To accomplish this end, each member purchased a novel by a well-known author, These books are exchanged each week'-at the end of the school year every member will have read twenty-two books. As a group activity we read Romeo and Iulietn, discussing various char- acters and scenes. The social activities of the club consisted of a dance which we sponsored the afternoon before Thanksgiving and two theatre parties-the movies, A'Mary Queen of Scotts and Romeo and Iuliet . Oflicers of the club are elected each month in order to give each member an opportunity to learn, by actual experience, how to conduct a meeting and prepare the minutes of the meeting. The Club presented a copy of BroWn's HPunch's Progress to the library.
