1937 urrent History SPONSOR! Miss ANNE SKIFFINGTON Membership in this club is composed of about an equal number of Iuniors, Sophomores, and Freshmen, They are all boys except one lone young body, who is Miss Anne Melnyk, but we are glad to have her for she makes a very eflicient secretary. Main objective is the acquisition of knowledge of current topics, evaluation of this material, and reaching conclusions after careful study as to which are worthwhile to be retained. Regular meetings are held on Monday and Thursday of each week, Ac- tivities have been individual presentations of news, club discussions in general, and contest discussions in which the club is divided into two sides, pro and con. Among the questions taken up in the last named activity were: Coal Bootleg- ging , Baseball vs. Football , and A'Mystery vs. Western Movie. These group contests proved highly interesting. Two one-act plays were presented in the auditorium to the student body and faculty during the term. Thfffgfeac
