Frosh-Sophs End With Six Ana' One Season The mighty Frosh-Soph Mt. Carmel High football team, coached by Mr. Gene Sams and assisted by Mr. Ron Weisgerber, rolled to an outstanding season of six victories and only one defeat, a two-touchdown loss to the Lawrenceville Indians. The successful season coupled a stubborn defense with a hard-running offense that could pass extremely well. All of this record promises good gridiron days ahead for the Mt. Frosh Footballers Lose Onhf One Game The Freshman football squad for 1971 revealed a lot of promise for the future gridiron history to be written at Mr. Carmel. The little Aces compiled five victories while losing only to Princeton. This young team exhibited strong defense and a multiple of- fense, featuring passing, running, and adept ball handling. The Aces were coached by George Toler and Larry Conrady. Freshman Aces set tauntly for a major defensive effort against a quick Bridgeport. The young Aces and Bulldogs clashed in an explosive vic- tory for MCHS.
