Carmel High School are more than in- structors, they are friends. Not only do they assist the students in the classrooms, but they welcome after class chats. Our teachers sponsor vocational and academ- ic clubs. From these and other informal encounters around the school, both the students and the faculty form a spirit of fellowship which is, in reality, the school spirit. The teachers are always ready to help any individual student with sound advice and guidance. Constructive influ- ence which they exert make their friend- ship more valuable to each student. qw x XX G BAhLhH E Burt ngjzsh Xl 'lzmatzcs

Superintendent TALKING with the students and teachers, Robert H. Orr presents a familiar scene in the hall of Mt. Carmel High School. As Superintendent of Schools For District 348 many responsibilities and duties are placed upon his shoulders. It is his job to correlate the administrative problems between the Board of Education and the school. This year he initiated a program for curriculum development and improve- ment which will aid both students and teachers. Principal IN THE OFFICE of our principal, C. Bliss Talley, we find a man active and enthusi- astic over the future of the students. No matter how pressing his duties may be, he always finds the time to counsel or assist troubled students with their many problems. His constant reminder to all students is: Play the game fair.
