MR. WILLIAM FLEMING B.S. Known for his controllable temper, likeable personality, and effectiveness in teaching, Mr. Fleming, besides training Seniors in American History, also instructs the Sophomores in English. He is a respected unit of the Carmel Faculty. MR. RICHARD COMPTON B.A. This experienced and capable teacher, who is now enjoying his second year as a member of Carmel's faculty, devotes his full schedule to lecturing underclassmen. He drills the Sophs in Plane Geometry and forces Algebra on Freshmen, l MR. WILLIAM JACOBY B.A. One of the versatile profes- sors on Mt. Carmel's staff, Mr. Jacoby coaches both the lightweight football team and the Fly and Bantam cagers. Besides this he teaches Eng- lish to Juniors and Sophs and is assistant to Mike Murphy. MR. JERRY CROIXRKIN B.A. One of Carmel's newest lay professors, Mr. Croarkin is a graduate of Quigley P. S. and De Paul University. His time is spent between instructing Freshmen in the elements of English and attending Loyola to earn his master's degree. MR. JAMES FATTORE M.B,A. Responsible for the teaching of Accounting to Juniors and Seniors along with History to the Juniors, Mr. Fattore also ably uses his talents in coaching Carmelas excellent wrestling team. This year he started intramural grappling. l MR. MATTHEXN' SMITH B.A. Although he has taught at Mt. Carmel for only three years, Mr. Smith has won the re- spect and admiration of both the Faculty and the students. He spends his time teaching the important topics of Gen- eral Science and Algebra I. lull MR. JAMES MCGUIRE B.A. Recently returning from the Marine Corps, this new asset to the Faculty adapted him- self to civilian and Carmel life quite readily. His time is occupied teaching History to Seniors and Sophs plus Civics 8L Economics to the Juniors. MR. JOSEPH TREZER B.A. Although he did not join Car- mel's army of instructors un- til the second semester, Mr. Trezek was immediately put to work imparting the funda- mentals of Latin and World History to the underclassmen and ofSociology tothe Seniors. jg, f f . f lzf'7 If ' V, .
