Carmel's ToughesT compeTiTion in The Palomar League. The Team will be sTrong wiTh six reTurning leTTermen: Darin Balsley, STeve CasTleberry, Ricky CorTez, Greg Graff, Shell ScoTT, and Ken Pulsifier. Also, aiding This Team is Tim Sinclair, a piTcher, moving up from lasT year's J.V. Team, along wiTh ouTfielders David CorTez, and Ken Dermer. This year's Team could be The besT yeT. J.V. BASEBALL ARE IN THE SWING OFI The sucess of This year's MounT Carmel J.V. Baseball program has cenfered around solid defense and hard hiTTing. The Team's Toughesf games were againsT Orange Glen, Torrey Pines, and Poway. The Team was led by The sTrong pifching of Mark FurTak, and ScoTT Purviance. The offensive ounch was provided by Danny Crouse, and The Mallari Brofhersg David and Mike. The infield was held Togefher by corner man John Parry. Under The leadership of coach Rudy Casciafo, The Team had a successful season and is looking forward To bigger and beTTer Things ahead.
