Loyalty to Christ and His Church by keeping the Ten Commandments through love of God rather than fear of punishment is the core of the sophomore religion course. To accomplish this end emphasis is placed on the growth in Christian social living. the principles of which are stressed in Economic Geography. Their music classes further Christian ideals for they learn the best in secular music as well as the elements of Gregorian Chant. RELIGION II The sophomores study to solve the problems for discus- sion from Loyalty. ,. X, pq- No sophomore curriculum would be complete without Latin and biology. Learning the classili- cations of animals and plants plus many other interesting things, the girls become aware of the wonderful work of God in creating His IYorld. After reviewing the conjugations and declensions of the Latin language, the students are taught to translate the ancient Latin classics as well as hymns and psalms used by the church.
