EFFERVESCENT An addition to the sophomore curriculum this year was the Christian Family Living Course. In this class the girls solved the mysteries of sewing and depicted the fundamental principles of establishing a Christian home by compiling work-books throughout the year. Acquiring knowledge and building a strong character is the aim of every student as one with- out the other is of little value. In gym good sportsmanship is learned along with developing physical skill. Understanding the development of our country and discussing current events in American history tends to promote broadminded- ness and sympathy in social matters that can be applied throughout life. Mrs. TYPING I juniors see CROW PRINCESSES OF ERUDITION ENGLISH III how to make a two page lay-out for a school paper Through the study of English the juniors have become better prepared for whatever career they may choose. Both the reading of literature and the studying of grammar are helpful especially in promoting proper speech and writing habits. Knowing this is essential in their commercial subjects because without a knowledge of the rules of punctuation, typing and shorthand cannot be mastered.
